This weekend marks the release of the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Advance reviews have been good, and the movie is getting quite a bit of hype. Which means we’ll be hearing a lot about the Ninja Turtles for the next several weeks.
But as students of true Ninjutsu, who take pride in our lineage, this can be a mixed blessing. Yes, the world will be exposed to positive “Ninja” who want to do good instead of being evil deadly assassins. No doubt this will spark a desire for many to find out more, and to possibly seek to study this art for themselves.
Unfortunately, what they see in the movie isn’t necessarily what they’ll find in a true Ninjutsu Dojo.
